About DecisionWire
DecisionWire is decision intelligence for modern businesses — a continuously verified source of truth on the software and services companies actually buy. We exist to make a high-stakes, noisy decision faster and more honest.
Why we exist
Choosing business software is expensive and hard to reverse, yet most of the web that's supposed to help is the opposite of helpful: SEO affiliate farms, shallow listicles, and "top 10" pages that rank vendors by who pays the most. Real specs are scattered across pricing pages, docs, and fine print, and they go stale the moment they're published.
We built DecisionWire to be the antidote: a database of vendors, products, and head-to-head comparisons where every fact is traceable to a primary source, kept current, and presented without a thumb on the scale.
What we do
We maintain an extensive, continuously updated database of business-software vendors and products, and we build the vendor profiles, category pages, and comparisons on the site directly from it. Every data point traces back to the vendor's own material or an authoritative source, carries a last-verified date, and is re-checked on a schedule. We use AI to collect and refresh data at scale, always with a human in the loop — and we deliberately exclude things we can't verify first-party (like scraped third-party ratings). Exactly how we source, verify, score, and pick is documented on our methodology page.
Who builds it
Corbett Barr
DecisionWire is built and led by Corbett Barr, a former startup founder and CTO. Over his career he has managed tens of millions of dollars in technology budgets and personally selected and managed hundreds of business-software vendors — the exact, high-stakes work DecisionWire is built to make easier. The site reflects that vantage point: it's made by someone who has sat on the buyer's side, at scale, and wanted the resource he never had.
How we stay independent
DecisionWire is funded by affiliate commissions: some outbound links to vendors earn us a commission, at no extra cost to you. That funding never influences our facts, scores, rankings, or which vendors we cover — a vendor with no affiliate program is researched and ranked on exactly the same terms as one that pays. We spell this out in full in our affiliate disclosure.
